Education
Graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts, having majored in both English Literature and Art Studio. Was awarded three academic citations between the two fields and completed an honors dissertation about racial performance in Shakespeare's "Othello" and "The Merchant of Venice."
Experience
I have been tutoring English, Writing, and Literature online during the pandemic and currently hold five-star ratings in every lesson to date. This includes reviews from dozens of students over the past few months. In my final six months of university, I wrote a thirty-page dissertation with a supervising professor on the evolution of race in adaptations of Shakespeare's "Othello" and "The Merchant of Venice." The project took three months, three months of writing, and culminated in a thesis defense where I successfully justified my paper to an advising professor. As a university student, I took courses in a wide array of subjects, ranging from in-depth explorations of Shakespeare and Chaucer, to survey courses on Victorian, Gothic, and Contemporary American Literature. During this time, I was also independently tutoring friends and peers in writing and essay development.

Hobbies
My most notable hobby is definitely Art, both viewing and creating. This may sound broad, but I've explored a wide variety of media and continue to find new, creative techniques to build meaningful pieces. Most recently, I've started sculpting with yarn and chicken wire to build life-size figures. Art aside, I love writing short stories and poetry, both of which are often inspired by the range of books I like to read. Over the past few years, I have also discovered an appreciation for cooking without recipes. Though the final results are often questionable, the process is fun and rewarding.
